Network Outage Status [closed]

All operations back online.

On December 15, 2007, thunderstorms in the Smithville area caused a lightning strike to a core backbone operations tower. All Internet and Data services, including datacenter services, went offline at approximately 3:00 AM.

We had equipment in stock and commenced replacement to restore services within 24 hours. All services were restored and back to normal by the end of the weekend.

The Smithville Datacenter continued to experience some uplink instability which we later determined was due to a faulty piece of equipment. This was replaced and no further problems have occured.
