LiveAir Networks has invested heavily in the network technology and infrastructure needed to build our most significant asset: our state of the art digital microwave and fiber optic network. Commonly known as the LiveAir Rural Area Network, this all-digital network covers more than 500 square miles spanning 3 counties. The sheer capacity of the technologies that make up the LiveAir Rural Area Network in the Tri-county area is significant in its own right; but even more impressive are the other advantages the network delivers over services offered by telecommunications companies that rely more heavily on antiquated technologies such as copper wire. Because we own, install and operate our network, and because we are committed to meeting the challenge to provide the most reliable transmission service at a cost-effective price, LiveAir Networks uses digital microwave or fiber optic technologies throughout our infrastructure, even in the coveted local loop or "last mile." Whereas legacy local exchange carriers are likely to use copper wire for this crucial stretch between the network backbone and a client site, LiveAir Networks builds our network directly into our clients' premises, eliminating any weak links. The result is the ability to deliver the highest transmission quality and greatest bandwidth. And because LiveAir Networks is a carrier, not a service reseller, we can provide our services at a highly competitive price.
In addition to the amount and extent of fiber and digital microwave deployed, LiveAir's network is further distinguished by its design. Of particular note is the fact that our network is diversely routed in the truest sense of the term. Other providers may tout the diversity of their networks, but these claims can be misleading, as true diversity cannot be achieved by routing network traffic on separate connections that are entwined within the same sheath, conduit or even communications tower. Our completely automated network operations center (NOC) further distinguishes the LiveAir Rural Area Network. It is from the NOC that our highly sophisticated network management system montitors the entire network with best-in-class tools and management processes 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This level of monitoring ensures the 99.99% reliability level that is the hallmark of LiveAir's service. Our NOC is so advanced that we can identify, address, and resolve issues before they turn into problems for your business. For many LiveAir Networks customers — healthcare institutions in particular — the role that our NOC plays in ensuring the reliability of the network is of critical importance.
