History

Welcome to LiveAir Networks!

LiveAir Networks was founded in 2004 with the sole focus of providing broadband Internet Access to the rural community at large. Our target markets are not the population centers normally associated with business, but rather the small, outlying "villages" and areas. LiveAir Networks prides itself in innovation and doing things the "other" way. We are pioneers in our own field, and eventually hoping to bring Internet to the masses of rural America.

The idea for LiveAir Networks was in 2001, when the Breeden Family, founders of LiveAir Networks, moved into a new home on family property between Smithville and Winchester. Dial-up access for the family's home computer network would prove to be too slow for practical purposes, and negotiations with the incumbent phone company to improve the quality of the phone lines failed. A satellite connection to the Internet was the only option available. A very costly solution - one that added $70 per month to the family's monthly bill collection (needless to say an unwelcome additional check from mom's checkbook each month).

In the spring of 2004, James W. Breeden took a business plan for LiveAir Wireless, a much larger scale of LiveAir Networks, and entered it into DECA competition. DECA is an international organization dedicated to marketing education and business competition. Breeden's project carried him through Texas state competition and straight to a 2nd place international finish at the 2004 DECA International Career Development Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. It became apparent at that point that they had to do something given the success of the project. From local citizens to international-level judges, it was blatantly apparent there was a problem in the communities around Smithville - there was no broadband. So the Breedens have set out to solve that problem.

The concept behind LiveAir is simple - to provide rural clients with High Speed Internet Access. Through a "status-quo"-breaking digital microwave infrastructure and expanding one community at a time(tm), LiveAir Networks will gradually bring rural America online with high speed access.

We are rural as rural gets. In fact, federal funding available for bringing broadband internet to the "rural" areas of America was not available to LiveAir Networks. Why? The USDA guidelines said that 'Census-recognized districts' without broadband access were eligible for funding.

NONE of our target markets are census-recognized districts. Cistern, Northrup, Winchester, Pin Oak, Serbin. All of these are rural population centers in their own right, yet none considered "rural" by the USDA. In essence, that makes our markets "sub-rural." Not letting this fact get in our way, we are dedicated to the families living in the country. Bringing big city service to farms, ranches, and remote areas. Innovative in our own way - nothing about LiveAir is "normal" - from the markets we target to our network infrastructure and business practices.

In 2005, LiveAir brought on the resources of longtime and well-respected Bastrop County IT group James Breeden Information Systems, and continued providing Bastrop County residents and businesses world-class information technology support services. Now, in the 4th quarter of 2006, we launched our flagship SyntheticIT series of Information Technology services to answer the demanding requirements of today’s homes and offices.

Enjoy our new website, and if you're in our coverage area, we hope you'll find our service something you can fit into your budget. It's people like you that we want to serve Internet access and technical services to. People like us - who want something faster for Internet Access - but don't want to pay the extra absorbent costs for Satellite or other access mediums. We're glad to say that there IS another option now, and honored to be a choice for your internet access and IT support. We promise you won't be disappointed.

Once again, welcome to LiveAir Networks. We hope that we can become your choice for Internet connectivity and technical services.
